H D Service Turn Key Open Loop Systems

A complete H D Services geothermal installation could supply you with all your heating requirements, all your hot and cold water needs, plus a 'grey-water' supply that is ideal for a garden irrigation system.

Our turn-key solution is to supply, install and commission a complete water supply and heat pump system with the least disruption possible. A single house is permitted to abstract up to 20,000-litres of water from an underground aquifer every day without the need for a licence from the Environment Agency; although we will always forward details of an abstraction borehole to both the British Geological Survey and the Environment Agency to protect against derogation.

The water would be pumped into the house, where the flow can be divided to feed both a potable supply (via ultra-violet filtration) and the heat pump. The heat pump is non-consumptive and simply takes heat out of the water before it is returned into the ground. A harvesting tank can be installed on the return pipe, providing a sump from where water can be pumped for garden irrigation or other 'grey-water' use. Unlike rainwater harvesting tanks that are only replenished when it rains, the heat pump harvesting tank is replenished whenever the heat pump is in operation. If the harvesting tank is buried in the ground, the water will start to reclaim heat immediately.
